Music Post!
As I said before, I like music, both listening to and playing it. This is just a quick post to share a couple of my favourite pieces of music with you.
One of my favourite types of music is Baroque organ music (I know, it's niche!)...this piece is a particular favourite. Even if you don't normally listen to this type of music, give it a go - it's pretty short! The organ itself in this video is beautiful.
Another favourite composer of mine is Chopin. I would love to learn to play this piece someday.
I hope you enjoyed those pieces of music! Which was your favourite?

ReplyDeleteI don’t believe I’ve ever listened to Baroque Organ music before, so this will be a new thing in the way of experiences! (Just listening to it now, and enjoying it…. I can’t pin down what it reminds me of in the beginning, but it’s lovely!!) Imagine the coordination required to have the hands and feet both in perfect harmony….
Ooh, I love the light, tripping liveliness of the Chopin piece🥰 I must say I enjoyed them both for different reasons, and picking a favourite is difficult! I may go with this one, though :)
I'm glad you liked it! The hands and feet thing - so hard! And he's not even looking at his feet. You can tell he's enjoying himself, though!
DeleteThe Chopin piece is beautiful - it's one of my favourite pieces of his music. I tried to learn it a while ago, but I wasn't committed enough; I think I will give it another go. It would be amazing to be able to sit down and play it.
Thank you for your comment - I'm glad you enjoyed the music!
Goodness, just imagine learning to do four things at once.... Organists (this word is looking at me funny, I wonder if that's right🤔) must be marvellous multi-taskers!
DeletePerhaps your hands will have remembered enough of it from last time that this time will be easier? I agree, it would be incredible to be able to play it.... I don't read music myself, so I'd have to memorize it in its entirety if i was going to try, but it IS a tempting thought!
I know, they must be! A Google search (Google is, after all, infallible) tells me that organist is a word, but it's a weird one. The strangest, for me, is flautist...
DeleteMaybe my hands might remember? I hope that's how it'll work out, anyway! The piece has six flats, which plays with my brain when I try to play it...
