Inklings // March 2025
I feel like it's been a long time since I last posted...only about a week, but it seems more than that. Yet here we are again with March's edition of Inklings. I hope to post on something else next week, but maybe choir practices for the Triduum and spring cleaning will take over!
Anyway: March's prompt is: a scene with strangers meeting / becoming acquainted. (Rules for linking up are here.)
I wanted to share a clip from one of my favourite films: Cinderella (2015). (Link to the YouTube video here.)
I love how this scene shows so much about all of them in only a couple of minutes. Also, Cate Blanchett's clothes and hat... so fun! Crazy, yes, but who doesn't secretly want to wear an outfit and HAT like that?! The stepsisters' clothing - not so good, though I like the style (not the pattern) of Anastasia's dress.
Anyway, enjoy, and let me know what you think! (And I don't think exclusively about a film's costumes when I'm watching it. Promise.)
I love this movie!
ReplyDeleteYes, me too! It's definitely one of my favourites.
DeleteI still have never watched this movie...though I really should sometime. (And yes...what I've seen of Cate Blanchett's wardrobe in this is honestly pretty iconic.)
ReplyDeleteYes, I'd really recommend it! Blanchett's wardrobe is amazing, though my personal favourite dress of all is Cinderella's wedding dress...
DeleteLovely post, Cecilia!
ReplyDelete"Cinderella" (2015) is one of my favorite movies!! It is so nostalgic.
Cate Blanchett's acting is amazing in the film. (And agreed, her hat is fun!)
My favorite costume is Ella's wedding dress. It is so elegant!
Yes, Ella's wedding dress is so lovely, isn't it? It's probably my favourite, too, although I love her ball dress...
DeleteThis is such a good movie!! Thank you so much for sharing :D
ReplyDeleteYes, it's great, isn't it? I've watched it at least a dozen times. I'd love to learn to play some of the music, too!
