Inklings // June 2025
Hello everyone! Back for another Inklings, which I'm writing while surrounded by packing boxes and rather forlorn empty bookshelves...
The rules for linking up are here. This month's prompt is:
A scene with running water in book or film.
I always do a film, I feel, but as all of my books are packed, I think it's justified this month. My choice is a scene from the film The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938). I love this film so much that I had to include it, and when I can get my hands on the DVD again (guess what... it's packed) I'm planning to write a post about it. (Note: I'm not sure the video will work in the post, so here's a link to the clip on YouTube.)
Have you ever watched The Adventures of Robin Hood?
I've never watched any Robin Hood movies (though I have seen a Robin Hood-themed Star Trek episode...I seem to be noticing a pattern here) but this was a cute scene. :D I look forward to seeing your review!
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to writing it! I would definitely recommend this film. Would you recommend Star Trek? I've never seen it, but I'm on the lookout for new films to watch.
DeleteHeh, it's kind of funny that I was just talking about Star Trek in my Sunshine Blogger post! I would recommend it, but with caveats - not every episode is worth watching, and there is some language/some bits that I like to skip. I could make a list of some of the best episodes I've seen and send you that, if you're interested in checking it out!

DeleteOoh, I've watched at least two different Robin Hood movies, but this one I have not.... I take it this doubles as a recommendation??? I'll be looking forward to this post, I love finding out all about movies before I watch them, oddly enough😄

ReplyDeleteI watched "The Adventures of Robin Hood" for the first time last month. I quite enjoyed it - particularly the bright and colorful costumes! The acting was also very good. :)

Yes, it's a really fun film, isn't it?! It is also bright. It feels like they went in for the most vivid colours, just for fun ;)
